Personal Overview

I have been playing rugby since I was five years old (I am now 22) and have a huge passion for the game. I have chosen a different route to most young players who are looking to make a professional career out of rugby. A route, I feel, that will put me in better stead than the majority of young academy players. I’ve now played 6 full seasons of senior rugby, one in National 3 Midlands, three in National 2 North, one in the ACT Premier Grade competition and one in the Wellington Hardham Cup competition. This level of rugby, from the age of 18, has made me game-hardened and a lot more switched-on to the physical demands of senior rugby. This level of senior experience, a skill set developed over many years in many different sides, and a drive and passion to, one day, play for my country, is what I feel makes me an ideal player for a top side to take on. I know there are many obstacles to overcome before international rugby becomes a realistic goal, but I truly believe I have the commitment to make it in a professional environment. Once given the exposure combined with the elite coaching and conditioning to fine tune my game then I truly believe I could be a top player.
