Established in 1908, the Vancouver Rowing Club (VRC) Rugby Section—known locally as the "Rowers"—is one of the most historic and storied rugby clubs in Canada. 📍 The Best Setup in the Country

We don't just have a pitch; we have an iconic landmark.

• The Pitch: Our home games are played at Brockton Oval in the heart of world-famous Stanley Park. Brockton is steeped in international rugby history, having hosted legendary touring sides like the New Zealand All Blacks.

• The Clubhouse: After the final whistle, we head back to our heritage waterfront clubhouse over the waters of Coal Harbour. Boasting internationally acclaimed facilities, our club bar opens right onto a massive patio and dock—hands down the best post-match drinking deck in the city.

🏆 Senior Rugby & Professional Coaching

We are a club on a massive upward trajectory, offering competitive pathways for both men and women:

• The Men's Program: We field two senior men's teams. Fresh off a dominant Division 1 championship run, our men's program has been promoted back to the BC Premier League—the highest tier of domestic rugby in Canada.

• The Women's Program: Our senior women’s side competes in the BC Division 2 competition, providing a fantastic, supportive environment for players looking to develop their skills, compete hard, and enjoy a brilliant team culture.

• The Coaching: Our senior coaching staff brings elite pedigree to the club, with extensive experience playing professionally across Europe and coaching at the pro level in North America's Major League Rugby (MLR).

🌱 Growing the Future: Junior & School Rugby

We are deeply committed to grassroots rugby and are actively investing in the next generation. We are currently building up our Junior (U17/U19) and Minis programs, creating an exciting opportunity for senior club members to get involved. Many of our senior players play a vital role in this growth by coaching in local Vancouver high schools, helping shape the future of the game in our community.

Because we are the only club located right in Downtown Vancouver, we are the natural home for international expats.
